ACCESS TO THE PROGRAMME

The University of the Basque Country (EHU), the Public University of Navarre (UPNA) and the University of Bordeaux (UBx) have joined forces to offer a Joint Degree, incorporating both the Official Master’s Degree in Innovative Oenology and the Master’s Degree in Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin de l’École Nationale Supérieure des Sciences Agronomiques de Bordeaux Aquitaine, giving students of the EHU-UPNA Official Master’s Degree in Innovative Oenology the opportunity to obtain a Master’s qualification from both the EHU-UPNA and the UBx.

This international project also allows students to progress to the Joint PhD Thesis.

To participate in the program, students must have validated a minimum number of ECTS credits as detailed below:
– 240 ECTS credits from a Bachelor’s degree, in the case of the EHU and the UPNA.

The available degrees are:
– Diploma in Oenology
– Diploma in Food Science and Technology
– Diploma in Food Process and Product Innovation
– Agri-food and Rural Engineering
– Diploma in Business Administration and Management
– Diploma in Marketing
– Diploma in Biology
– Diploma in Chemistry.

In all cases, students who have obtained certifications or diplomas equivalent to the above will also be eligible, subject to prior consultation with the academic and agreement monitoring committee.

– 60 ECTS credits from Master 1, in the case of the UBx

 

 

Students from EHU-UPNA enrolled in the Master’s in Innovative Oenology who opt for the dual degree and are selected will be able to access the second year (M2) of the Master’s in Vine and Wine Sciences (UBx) and must complete (between January and September) a professional development project in Bordeaux, equivalent to 30 ECTS credits, at a winery or research center. This project will validate their Master’s Thesis.

UBx students must validate (between January and September) at least 30 ECTS credits (9 theoretical, 6 from external internships at a winery, and 15 from the Master’s Thesis).

Students will only pay EHU-UPNA enrolment fees and will be exempt from paying UBx fees (ISVV: Institut de la Science de la Vigne et du Vin or Bordeaux Sciences Agro, depending on the chosen speciality).
