  • A real winery, a real challenge and plenty of ideas: Innovative Enology Master students help shape the communication strategy of Bodegas Hesvera
24 Jul

Learning from real-world challenges is one of the defining features of the Innovative Enology Master. This time, the classroom became a space for creativity and collaboration thanks to a unique initiative: developing a communication strategy for Bodegas Hesvera.
The idea came from Emilio, one of the programme’s students and a member of the family behind the winery. He invited his classmates to work on the communication strategy of Bodegas Hesvera, opening up his own business as a real case study and encouraging them to contribute fresh ideas and different perspectives. Working together, the students analysed the winery’s identity, market positioning and communication opportunities, generating a wide range of creative proposals. The session highlighted the value of bringing together students with diverse academic backgrounds, professional experience and personal perspectives to solve real challenges facing today’s wine industry.

This collaborative approach is one of the strengths of the Innovative Enology Master. Beyond scientific and technical expertise, students develop essential skills in management, marketing and communication by applying them to genuine business situations.

The programme is jointly delivered by the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), the University of the Basque Country (EHU) and the Université de Bordeaux, offering an international learning environment that connects students with the realities of the global wine sector.
The Master team would like to thank Emilio for generously sharing the experience of Bodegas Hesvera with the class, and to congratulate all the students for their enthusiasm, creativity and the outstanding quality of their ideas. Because learning is also about sharing.
