The 32 students of the Master of Business and Science in Vineyard & Winery Management of L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Sciences Agronomiques de Bordeaux have come to the Campus of Álava of the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea to participate in the subject ‘Wine Management’ of the master’s degree in Innovative Enology at the UPV / EHU. Both master’s degrees maintain an agreement that allows access to a double master’s degree and provides advantages for joint enrollment and collaboration for the preparation of thesis in joint supervision.

The group of 32 students, from 18 different nationalities, includes very varied professional profiles that coincide for their interest in winemaking and winemaking. This versatility extends the professional opportunities that can be found in this sector.

In addition to visiting several vineyards and wineries, they went to the Lascaray Research Center to learn more about the UPV / EHU Sensory Analysis Laboratory and the scientific facilities of this center of the Álava Campus. The visit was led by those responsible for the master’s degree in Innovative Enology at the UPV / EHU (Patxi Pérez Elortondo, Iñaki Etaio and Azucena Vicente). They also visited the facilities of Neiker and the HAZI Foundation, collaborators of that master’s degree program at the UPV / EHU.

The theoretical classes of the Master of Innovative Enology are developed in the period from January to June and are later completed with wine company practices and the development of an end-of-master project.
